WOMEN IN ISLAM

Islam lifted the woman and likened the man to the point that in the Holy Quran treated equally with their partner (s practically the only holy book that women targeted as such and is equal to the man). The woman is valued in Islamic society for their intelligence and virtue. From the very beginning Islam gave women rights and privileges that Western women , in most countries , only gained in this century , as the free use of their property , the ability to test, the right to divorce , marital separation , the right to receive a salary for work performed at home , etc. .

She is , for Islam, a priceless treasure , a fundamental property on which the family is founded , nucleus of society . The Prophet greatly emphasized the value of woman as man's companion , wife and mother. He put the mother in a nest three times higher than that of the father , and said : ' Paradise lies at the feet of mothers ' and promised the same reward for breed, sustain and educated in goodness and faith to a daughter.

Despite this undeniable reality , there is prejudice, properly fed and fueled by the mass media, the woman is nothing short of slave in Islamic society , and the favorite target of this review is the modesty of Muslim women who covering her body and not displayed as a showcase . What at one time , in a healthier society , had valued as a sign of virtue and nobility, today , reversing the values , he denounces as degradation and humiliation. Do not forget that Muslim women today, as fourteen centuries ago , dresses as did Mary, the mother of Jesus, peace be upon both of whom any woman says Western Christian worship but not imitate .

The Quran has a lot to say about women and women. A Surah (Chapter in the Quran ) , "Women" , another is named after Maryam (Mary) , the mother of Jesus ( Peace be upon him ) is called . The Quran presents some monotheistic women and calls on all human beings and taking them horn follow suit.

We there Sarah, wife of the Prophet Abraham. Quran when referring to them says that, just as Abraham had the gift of being able to perceive the invisible and communicate with the angelic world, his wife Sara , also had this gift. When the angels sent from God, descended to albriciarles the arrival of a child (when Abraham was 120 and Sarah was 90 years) , Sara surprised I spoke to the angels: " He said, 'Woe is me ! Conceive me, I'm an old woman and this my husband, an old man ! Certainly this is something amazing, " Le said : Did you be amazed of God's Well known that God's mercy and blessings I AmparanOh descendants of the Prophetic House Because He is Praiseworthy Glorious " ( Qur'an 11 ! :72- 73 )

The second example is the mother of Moses, which is also mentioned in the Holy Quran and highly praised . She had reached such a high degree of spirituality also received divine inspiration : " And We inspired the mother of Moses : "Amamántale and check it if you fear for him in the sea, and do not fear nor grieve because you and refund you name one of the apostles ! ". (Qur'an 28:7 )

The following example quoted the Koran is Mary, mother of Jesus, which is presented as a model for humanity not only for women. Mary was possessed of such a high spiritual hierarchy that sometimes surpassed that of some prophets. Mary repeatedly received heavenly food . Making a study of the life of Mary reach us to four conclusions:

1. Its high spiritual hierarchy .

2. The equality of men and women to achieve high degrees of spirituality.

3. Your tolerance and inner strength against those who accused her .

4. The superiority of rank on many men of his time . ( Quran 3:45 )

Another woman that the Qur'an presents as an example for the believers is Asia , wife of Pharaoh . Despite having been in an atheist environment was one of the first people to believe in the prophecy of Moses. Naturally , Pharaoh did not tolerate it and tried every means to get him to renounce his faith , Finding himself failed in his attempt , tortured to torture her , The Qur'an says about it: "God exemplifies believers with woman Pharaoh , when she said ! Oh , my Lord ! Build me an abode with You in Paradise, and save me from Pharaoh and his misdeeds and save me from the wicked ? "( Qur'an 66: 11)

Studying Islam, observe the great sacrifice and struggle of Khadijah , the wife of the Prophet Muhammad , Fatima , his daughter, and some other believing women who gave their lives, their property, their children and all they had in favor of advance of Islam .
